Education Week 2016 (SWAT)

choir

On Thursday the 4th of August we celebrated the 125th birthday of Cardiff Public School. Mr Kyrwood and the school captains addressed the assembly. While the teachers handed out their Care awards the students sat quietly watching. The choir sang Geronimo and the school sang along as if they were in the choir to. Jai, Isabelle, Ava Isabella and Paulina read their power writing in a calm and gentle voice.

The principal announced that there was a new award called the principal's award and Joshua Gill and Jessica Freeburn were lucky enough to get it. The parliamentarians talked about what it was like at Cardiff School in the 1920s up until 2016. Mrs Trayhurn lit some candles on a cake for the 125th birthday of Cardiff school and the Prime Ministers, Alex and Skylah blew them out.

5/6F students showed their art on charcoal trees, the solar system and bush fires.

Cardiff Public School officially opened the new playground that the P&C kindly raised money for, we look forward to playing on the playground for years to come.
