On Thursday the 24th of August Cardiff Public School had a BOOK WEEK PARADE! First up we had a brilliant skit by Keisha and Isabella about the first encounters of the English people and the Aboriginals. Ella played the rain stick, Thalia played the clap sticks and Tyeesha played the shaker and they did a fabulous job.
Next was a spectacular performance by junior dance group they danced to "Like a drum" which was choreographed by Mrs Tracey and Mrs Wallace.
All the school realised that a lot of the teachers were dressed up as sheep from the book "Where is the green sheep?" Mrs Wallace then asked all students and parents to look under their seats to see if they can find the green sheep. One of the students sisters found the green sheep near her chair. She then went up on stage to get her prize.
Afterwards the parade started everyone had amazing costumes and we really enjoyed the thought and creativity that was put in.

Then we were in for a surprise with an outstanding flash poem from one of Mrs Wallace's favourite poems ‘My Country' by Dorothy McKeller. Thank you to the flash poet performers: Nyah, Isabelle, Kaitlyn, Christina, Skylah, Paulina, Alex and Poussette.
Last but not least was an extraordinary performance by the school choir they sang "We are Australian".
